There is no renewal limit to how many times you can renew your E-2 visa.
The initial E-2 visa application focuses on business projections. However, for renewals, you must show concrete evidence that your business is profitable or has been generating revenue, growing or hiring employees (thus, not marginal), and is on the path to continue generating revenue in the future.
There is no renewal limit and E-2 visa can be renewed in increments of two years indefinitely as long as your business continues to meet the E-2 visa requirements.
